“News Corp continues to strike out with viewers, tonight blacking out the beginning of the World Series to 3 million households in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Philadelphia. Broadcaster blackouts are already the highest in a decade and Fox may blackout millions more viewers next week. News Corp is taking advantage of 1992 government rules that created an artificial market and tilted the playing field in broadcasters’ favor. It’s time for Congress and the FCC to fix outdated rules so broadcasters can’t put viewers in the dark.”
