So Much For The Holiday Season!

Broadcaster kills the holiday spirit with blackout number 85 for 2012
Washington, D.C. December 19, 2012 – While everyone else is in the spirit of giving, Cedar Rapids TV greedily took consumers’ programming as leverage in the latest retransmission consent dispute. This disregard for consumers confirms that broadcasters will continue to use outdated retrans consent rules as long as it helps them grow their profit line. Eighty-five blackouts on the backs of millions of viewers thanks to broadcasters. With no end in sight, this holiday season consumers are putting a reform of the ’92 Cable Act at the top of their wish list.
