ATVA Statement on Reauthorization of STELA Hearing

Washington, D.C. March 26, 2014– Following today’s hearing in the Senate Judiciary Committee on Reauthorization of the Satellite Television Extension and Localism Act, the American Television Alliance issued the following statement:

We thank the Committee for today’s hearing on updating our outdated video laws. TV broadcasters continue to parrot the same distortions that illustrate they’re living in a TV fantasy land and want to drag us all into it. We urge the Committee to take this opportunity to protect consumers from skyrocketing retransmission consent fees and blackouts.
