ATVA Statement on NAB Attacks on NCTC

Washington, D.C. March 27, 2014– Responding to the National Association of Broadcasters and TVFreedom’s attacks on the National Cable Television Cooperative in recent days, the American Television Alliance issued the following statement:

It’s amusing that NAB and its front group seek an investigation of NCTC given that NAB’s TV Chair Marci Burdick serves as Senior Vice President of Schurz Communications, which owns a mid-sized cable company whose President serves on the NCTC Board of Directors. Is the NAB calling on Congress to investigate its own Congressional spokesperson? This baseless attack is further proof the NAB is so desperate to distract from the collusion crackdown it’s facing that it’s willing to make up a phony story.
