ATVA Statement on Reauthorization of STELA Hearing

Washington, D.C. March 12, 2014– Following today’s hearing in the House Communications and Technology Subcommittee on Reauthorization of the Satellite Television Extension and Localism Act, the American Television Alliance issued the following statement:

It’s clear from the discussions at today’s hearing that a majority of the members on the Committee want to see retransmission consent reform. We appreciate the very minor efforts included in the draft bill but agree with the majority of the members of the Committee who want to see more done on retransmission consent. The longer Congress waits to act, the more consumers are hurt.
