Members of House Judiciary Subcommittee Latest to Express Concerns
Washington, D.C. September 10, 2013 — Following Tuesday’s hearing in the House Committee on the Judiciary’s Subcommittee on Courts Intellectual Property and the Internet, the American Television Alliance released the following statement:
“We are grateful to the numerous members of the Subcommittee who raised concerns today about the problems with our video marketplace and we look forward to working with them to address these concerns. Today’s hearing largely revolved around the issue of retransmission consent, which in itself is further proof that the system is broken. While broadcasters continue to talk out of both sides of their mouth, we will continue to seek solutions for consumers that bring our video rules into the 21st Century.”
