ATVA Statement: Day 13 of News Corp Blackout: Giants Win, 3 Million Consumers Lose!

“What a game! Despite offensive fireworks from San Francisco, 3 million consumers were still left in the dark.  Viewers not blacked out now should enjoy the first few games while they still can because News Corp is threatening to pull its programming from 25 more markets Sunday night, including Dallas.  Antiquated regulations have created an unbalanced playing field favoring broadcasters, leaving pay TV providers with little recourse and their subscribers without important programming.  The FCC and Congress need to step in and fix this broken system so that consumers don’t have to live with constant threats and blackouts.”
